Larry Mahoney, President
Larry Mahoney’s experience in international sourcing spans nearly two decades and includes everything from toys, to health and beauty aids, to clothing and textiles, to electronics.
After working for such notable U.S. companies as Munsingwear, Lee Data, Gillette Company and Spearhead Industries, and being responsible for international sourcing for those companies, he formed his own international sourcing business in 1987, which focused on product sourcing out of Mexico for Munsingwear and Evenflo, as well as product sourcing from Asia. Mexico operations included plastic molding, assembly and ownership of a sewing factory.
In 1987, he started Asia Direct Resources, Inc. (ADR) with sourcing focus exclusively in Asia. ADR has since grown to include a permanent sourcing office in China and joint-venture interest in two Chinese factories. The company’s sourcing office is leading the charge as more and more companies look to Asia – and particularly to China – to strengthen operations and profitability at home.
